The Met Office has issued a UK snow update as colder weather is set to sweep the nation over the weekend. Many of us will swap milder temperatures for chilly winds as an early winter cold spell arrives on Saturday night.

Forecasters at the Met Office have warned of 'unsettled' conditions with some weather alerts in place from Sunday. Saturday night is set to see cloud and rain clearing southwards, with scattered showers following in the north and west.
