Met Office issues two weather warnings for Greater Manchester

Forecasters have issued two weather warnings for Greater Manchester for later this week. The Met Office expects the region to be hit by strong winds and heavy rain in the coming days.

Earlier today (December 4), the meteorological office issued its first warning for strong wind, covering areas including the North West from 3pm on Thursday to 6am on Friday.

Now, forecasters have issued a second yellow weather warning in the space of an hour. The new warning is for both wind and rain.

It comes into effect at 3pm on Friday and lasts until 6am on Sunday. The warning covers almost the entire of England and Wales.
