Former Manchester United star Memphis Depay once ignored Wayne Rooney’s advice not to arrive at the club’s Carrington training ground complex in his swanky Rolls-Royce motor.
The Dutchman endured 19 unsuccessful months at Old Trafford after completing £25m from PSV Eindhoven in 2015, scoring just seven goals in 53 appearances for United.
Arguably the nadir of Depay’s time at the club came in December 2015, when his poor attempt at a back-pass allowed Bojan Krkic to break the deadlock in their 2-0 defeat away at Stoke.
