Meghan Markle has announced a brand new podcast months after the Duchess of Sussex's last one was unfortunately cancelled by Spotify.
The 42 year old royal has signed a new deal with Lemonada Media, and shared that she's "proud" to announce the new project. "I’m proud to now be able to share that I am joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting," the royal shared. "Being able to support a female founded company with a roster of thought-provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024." The Duchess went on to say that she and Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, have been planning to re-launch Archetypes for a while. "Our plan to re-release Archetypes so that more people can now have access to it, as well as launching a dynamic new podcast are well in the works," she explained. "I’m so eager to be able to share it soon, and am overjoyed to be joining the Lemonada family," the Duchess added.The news comes following Archetypes' sudden cancellation last year, amid a public fall-out between the Duke and Duchess with the streaming platform.
Executive Bill Simmons even labelled the couple as "f***ing grifters" during an episode of his own podcast. The head of podcast innovation and monetisation for the company made it clear that there was no love lost at the time. "The f***ing grifters.That's the podcast we should have launched with them," the big boss brutally branded the couple.
He then teased that there was a number of anecdotes he could share from his dealings with the Royals. "I've got to get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom I had with Harry to try and help him with a podcast idea," he said. "It's one of my best stories." Please check back regularly for.
