Lady Gaga Sings in French While Performing 'Mon Truc en Plumes' at Paris Olympics 2024 Opening Ceremony - Watch!
justjared.comLady Gaga is taking center stage at the 2024 Paris Olympics! The 38-year-old Grammy and Oscar winner gave a show-stopping performance of “Mon Truc en Plumes,” which she sang entirely in French, during the Opening Ceremony of the world games on Friday (July 26) in Paris, France.
While on stage located at the side of the iconic Seine River, Gaga wore a black outfit with a black feather in her hair as she danced around with a group of dancers carrying pink feathered props. Keep reading to find out more…During her performance, Gaga hopped up and down the stairs, played the piano, and was lifted up in the air by her dancers.
Afterwards, Gaga took to Instagram to share more details about her performance. “I feel so completely grateful to have been asked to open the Paris @Olympics 2024 this year,” Gaga wrote. “I am also humbled to be asked by the Olympics organizing committee to sing such a special French song—a song to honor the French people and their tremendous history of art, music, and theatre.
This song was sung by Zizi Jeanmaire, born in Paris a French ballerina, she famously sang ‘Mon Truc en Plumes’ in 1961. The title means ‘My Thing with Feathers.’ And this is not the first time we’ve crossed paths.
