Meghan Markle 'warned to do five things' if she ever planned return to the UK

With a return to the UK to mark the ten year anniversary of the Invictus Games looking likely for the Duchess of Sussex this May, a PR expert has examined five tactics Meghan should focus on if she does decide to join Prince Harry at the events.The last time Meghan was in England was in September 2022, when she and Prince Harry's charity visits coincided with the death of Queen Elizabeth II - with the pair joining members of the Royal Family for the funeral and committal service.

Now, PR expert Renae Smith has spoken to the Express about five elements Meghan needs to concentrate on if she does decide to join Harry in support - these being: "transparent communication, positive initiatives, media engagement, personal connections and leveraging social media".

The expert shared: "Clear and open communication about the reasons for her return could help manage public expectations and narrative.This includes addressing any past statements about not returning to the UK in a way that shows growth or changing circumstances. "Engaging in charitable activities or initiatives that resonate with the British public could highlight her commitment to positive impacts, potentially softening public perception. "Public or private gestures of reconciliation or unity, especially with the Royal Family, could be beneficial.
