He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

McDonald's takes advantage of 10pm curfew loophole to offer 24/7 drive-thru and delivery

Drive-thru and delivery services at 800 McDonald's restaurants across Britain will remain open overnight despite the new Covid curfew.

The Government's latest measures to curb coronavirus infections come into effect today and include a 10pm cut off for pubs and restaurants.

Office staff have also been urged to work from home if possible - with Boris Johnson admitting the measures could last for six months as the country looks down the barrel of a second wave.

However, fast food chains like McDonald's are able to take advantage of a loophole which allows them to continue operating 24/7.
