The Mayor Andy Burnham followed in the footsteps of London Mayor Sadiq Khan by announcing Greater Manchester would make its own rules on mask-wearing on public transport.

Mr Khan announced on Wednesday morning that face coverings will remain compulsory on the capital's transport network from Monday.
