Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said the final stage of lockdown lifting will come in a week, which will include an end to the rules forcing people to wear masks on public transport.
He will confirm if the move to end masks and social distancing will go ahead at a briefing on Monday, July 12. But more than three-quarters of people asked in a poll for The Observer said they want mask-wearing rules on public transport to remain.
