More than 11million drivers are being urged to check their vehicles as the first wave of MOT extensions come to an end following the coronavirus lockdown.
Around 11.3million MOTs are due in the next three months and drivers who miss the deadline could be slapped with a £1,000 fine.
Consumer expert Martin Lewis said motorists should act now to avoid a penalty - which applies if you're caught using your vehicle without a valid MOT.
In March, the DVLA introduced a six month extension on all MOTs that were due during the pandemic. It said anyone whose car check was due between March 30 and July 30 would have their deadline extended by six months.
