This Morning, Martin admitted he was overcome with emotion when they got back together and that it was the best moment in his career."That moment beats Live Aid or any of the big shows, getting back together in 2009," he told the ITV show's hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield."The first show we did was the O2 in Dublin. "We used to open the show with the band behind a Kabuki curtain, it used to drop to the ground."There was about a minute before this Kabuki curtain dropped.

We were all standing there in tears, that we can't believe we are back together again."And not just as a band, but as friends."He went on: "With Kabuki curtains you can kind of see the audience slightly and you can see the lights going on and the buzz.

And so we stood there and we were all in tears with it."The musician is now fronting new music talent TV show, Rock Till We Drop, alongside Lady Leshurr. It sees the stars forming new bands of musicians who all have to be over 64 and culminates in them performing at the Isle of Wight festival. When the BBC series was announced, Martin said: "I loved this the moment I first heard the idea; it's the stuff dreams are made of, just when you think life has passed you by, an opportunity like this comes along."To be able to give these bands a moment they have always dreamed of on one of the biggest festival stages in Britain was something I will never forget."For more of the latest showbiz news from Daily Star, make sure you sign up to one of our newsletters here..
