A man believed to be in his 40s has been taken to hospital after a suspected acid attack on a London high street. The victim was attacked and sprayed with the substance at 9:20pm on Sunday evening after an incident allegedly broke out on a bus.
His condition isn't believed to be life-threatening and he has been taken to hospital for treatment. The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that no arrests have been made yet.
Cops have urged witnesses to call 101 and quote reference "7135/01mar." Photos from the scene show police officers around the 54 bus close to Lewisham Fire Station.
A police officer can be seen carrying a clear bag containing evidence from the scene of the incident while firefighters can be seen on the scene.
