The 14 year-old was walking on open land to the south of Westleigh Park, Leigh, between 4pm and 5.30pm on Thursday, April 22, when she was she was approached by a man and attacked police say.
She was pulled into some bushes before being raped by the man, said to be aged 20 or under, who then fled. She is now being supported by specialist officers but has provided a very detailed description her attacker.
