Manchester United players were confident Antony would have an impact on his debut against Arsenal due to his training performances.
The 22-year-old started on the right-hand side and curled in United's opening goal in their 3-1 win to end Arsenal's winning start in the Premier League.
Antony completed his £85.51million transfer to United on deadline day, having arrived in Manchester at the start of last week.
He trained individually on Thursday and then completed two sessions with his new teammates.
