United were hit with an injury blow this week as Luke Shaw was confirmed to be suffering with an issue which will keep him on the sidelines for a number of weeks.
Alternative option Tyrell Malacia is also out with an unknown injury and youngster Brandon Williams has been sent out on loan to Ipswich Town this week.
This means the Reds are in the market for a new full-back and MEN Sport understands Chelsea's Marc Cucurella and Tottenham Hotspur's Sergio Reguilon are being considered.
