Jamie Carragher has blasted Andre Onana for angrily confronting a 'broken' Harry Maguire during pre-season. The Manchester United goalkeeper reacted furiously during the 3-2 pre-season defeat against Borussia Dortmund in Las Vegas after Maguire's loss of possession led to a shot on his goal.
After the game, Onana explained how he holds all of his teammates to the highest standards but his actions got a mixed reception.
Maguire has been in the headlines again during the international break after scoring an own-goal during England's 3-1 win over Scotland.
The 30-year-old has suffered a barrage of abuse online and was also mocked by the Hampden Park crowd during the game. "But to carry on like that in a pre season game when you’ve been at the club two minutes, to the club captain, was way over the top.
