Alejandro Garnacho has not been named in the Argentina squad for the Olympics. Manchester United winger Garnacho, who turned 20 on Monday, is currently participating for the national team in the Copa America in the United States, but there had been suggestions he could also figure in the Olympics in Paris later this month.

Argentina Under-20 coach Javier Mascherano has named an 18-man squad and listed four standby players. Garnacho played in 50 of United's 52 matches last term and started in 39 successive games, scoring ten goals.

The winger and Diogo Dalot were the only two players to avoid injury all season.
