Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
In the build up to Manchester United's Premier League opener last season, the biggest debate was about who would start at right-back.
After resurrecting his United career from absolutely nowhere in the second half of the 2022/23 campaign, Aaron Wan-Bissaka was pushing Diogo Dalot for a starting berth.
Both of them had earned regular minutes in pre-season, using the opportunities handed to them to audition for the role. Erik ten Hag plucked for Wan-Bissaka for the visit of Wolves for the season opener and his decision was justified when he provided the assist for Raphael Varane to head home the winner.
Dalot, however, soon wrestled the position back and they competed for it throughout the season.
