Ramsay, 29, joins the club from Chelsea and will work individually with players and on set-pieces, which was an area of weakness for United last season.
In 2019 Ramsay became the youngest Brit to gain his UEFA Pro Licence badge, which is the top coaching qualification in the game.
The Shrewsbury-born coach began his career with his hometown club, working in the club's academy in 2017 before quickly moving through the ranks to work with the first-team.
