Mason Greenwood will not play for Manchester United again, opening the door for a permanent move away from Old Trafford, according to reports.
The forward secured a transfer deadline-day loan switch to Spanish LaLiga side Getafe over the summer, where he has so far netted three goals and provided one assist across eight games in all competitions this season.
The Reds had originally intended to reintegrate Greenwood into their first-team squad but backtracked after their plans were leaked, prompting a fierce backlash from supporters.
Charges of attempted rape, coercive behaviour and aggravated bodily harm against Greenwood were dropped in February and United conducted an internal investigation that lasted six months.
