A person has been 'taken to safety' by emergency services near a train station in Rochdale. Emergency crews were called to Castleton railway station just before 12.15pm this afternoon (Friday) after reports of a 'possible casualty on the tracks'.
A person was found who was thankfully unhurt. They were taken to safety by police officers, a British Transport Police spokesperson confirmed.

The routes affected include from Headbolt Lane/Rochdale and Blackburn, between Clitheroe and Rochdale, and also between Chester/Manchester Victoria/Wigan Wallgate and Leeds.
