Manchester United appear to have been successful in their transfer bid for Facundo Pellistri as the club owner confirmed the deal is getting close.
The Red Devils have been trying to sign the Uruguayan teenager after disappointment in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho.
With 37 senior appearances to his name with top-flight side Penal, the 18-year-old forward has impressed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer enough to offer a “five-year deal” with a loan option.And the vice-president of Pellistri’s club has now suggested that the wheels are now in motion to make the forward a United player.
The chief told Sport Witness : ”It’s still not closed, but we expect it to be done in the coming hours." United have already been busy.
