Manchester United have reportedly made an offer to sign Christian Eriksen from Inter Milan that would have been “laughed out of court” in normal circumstances.
Eriksen looks likely to leave Inter in the January transfer window after falling out of favour under Antonio Conte this season.
Former club Tottenham have been tipped to re-sign him, while Arsenal have also been touted as potential suitors. However, now United have emerged as candidates to prise the Denmark international away from Inter before the winter window closes.
According to the Transfer Window podcast ’s Ian McGarry, United have offered to pay £1.33million of the £3.55million remaining on Eriksen’s contract this season to take him on loan in January.
