Ole Gunnar Solskjær KSO (Norwegian pronunciation: (About this soundlisten); born 26 February 1973) is a Norwegian professional football manager and former player. He is currently the manager of English club Manchester United. As a player, he played as a forward and spent most of his career with Manchester United. Solskjær also supervises a training academy for young footballers in his home town of Kristiansund, and is a patron of the Manchester United Supporters' Trust.

Man Utd plot bumper pay rise to tempt Saul Niguez into transfer

Manchester United are prepared to pay Saul Niguez £85,000-a-week more than he currently earns at Atletico Madrid in order to prise him away from the Spanish capital.

Daily Star Sport revealed last month that United are growing increasingly confident of landing the midfielder for a club-record £135m, which is the release clause in his Atletico contract.

It is believed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has pinpointed him as Paul Pogba ’s midfield replacement amid further doubts over the Frenchman’s future at Old Trafford.

Pogba, who has been linked with a United exit in recent years, is expected to finally join Real Madrid in the next transfer window.
