Manchester United are in the market for Roma teenager Riccardo Calafiori this summer. But the Red Devils will need Mino Raiola to backtrack on his promise not to send players to Old Trafford in order to land their man.
As revealed by Daily Star Sport, executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has made contact with Raiola, who is Calafiori’s agent, to discuss a move.
The 18-year-old left-back recently signed a new Roma deal but they are willing to consider selling as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer eyes a move.
But Solskjaer and Raiola publicly clashed earlier this year over midfielder Paul Pogba as he remains linked with an exit. Raiola infamously declared he would not send any more players to the club, claiming they would ruin even the best talent.
