Manchester United supporters attending games at Old Trafford moving forward could see new plans enforced prior to kick off. The club are in discussions over whether to force players to clap the home fans before the start of matches.
A new initiative, which was put forward by fans to the club, is under consideration while the coronavirus crisis continues. With the season still suspended, United are looking at the new approach for when football returns.
There is no guideline at present for the Red Devils team to address supporters on matchdays. But it could soon become something the club considers essential, with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and captain Harry Maguire set to be asked for their views on the proposal.
