Premier League giants Manchester United and Manchester City are both reportedly interested in Atletico Madrid star Saul Niguez.
Saul has a £140m [€150m] release clause at Atletico with his contract running up until 2026. However, since the midfielder signed that extension back in 2017, plenty has changed at the La Liga club.
Antoine Griezmann has departed leading to Atletico lowering their wage ceiling, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.
It’s claimed that Saul is unhappy with his new salary offer with any talks over a further extension now stalling. And Mundo Deportivo add that several clubs that have become interested in Saul such as Manchester City or Manchester United.
