A man has been stabbed to death and three others injured during a "large scale disturbance". Emergency services scrambled to a suburb of Sheffield, South Yorks, shortly after midnight following reports of violence as people headed out on the hottest August day in 17 years.
A man was rushed to hospital with multiple stab wounds to his upper body, but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Three other men sustained 'non life threatening' injuries and are currently receiving treatment.
The names and ages of the victims are not yet known. Police are conducting enquiries this morning and an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the incident is underway.
