First picture of man found dead near Kilsyth loch as cops probe 'unexplained' death

North Lanarkshire. Alan Brown had been fishing at Banton Loch in Kilsyth with friends on Saturday, August 22. But the next day his body was tragically found by a dog walker at around 2.35pm on Sunday.Cops are treating Alan's death as unexplained and are appealing for information to establish how he passed away.

He had also been seen at the same location by dog walkers at around 9pm on Saturday evening. Alan is white, around five foot, 10 inches tall with a slim build, short greying hair and similar stubble.

He was wearing a black jacket with a hood, grey jumper, blue jeans and black trainers. Detective Inspector Gordon Sneddon said: “We know that Alan was in the company of friends at the loch on Saturday during the day and then remained.
