A man in his 80s was taken to hospital on Wednesday morning (September 7) after being cut from a car that flipped over in the middle of the street in Irlam.
A large cordon was erected on Chapel Road, near the junction with Liverpool Road and Ferryhill Road. The crash happened outside the Chapel Group Medical Centre shortly before midday on Wednesday.
Emergency services, including paramedics and the fire service, closed off the road as enquiries were carried out at the scene.
The North West Ambulance service confirmed a man in his 80s was conveyed to hospital after the crash. They added that his injuries are non serious.
