A man was arrested after a five-mile police chase ended in a crash in Bury. Officers first spotted a 'suspicious car' near Fletcher Street in Bolton just before 2.10pm today (Sunday).
The driver failed to stop for police and sped off so officers gave chase. The car then crashed on Bolton Road in Bury, more than five miles away from where it was first spotted.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing at least four police cars and one ambulance at the scene of the crash, which happened near the junction with Ainsworth Road.
