William Perks eventually crashed into a wall and ran off. But he was captured after officers found him hiding up a tree. Now the 31-year-old of Churchill Drive, Tarporley, has been jailed for 22 months after pleading guilty to dangerous driving.

Chester Crown Court heard how, on Sunday March 28th officers became aware of white Mazda which was being driven by Perks, who had previously been disqualified from driving in October 2020, travelling from Liverpool into Cheshire West.
