The Manchester Evening News understands from sources on both sides that the latest discussions between Go North West and Unite were positive.

It’s understood the firm could be willing to rehash contracts in favour of a ‘collective agreement’ - and improve sick pay. However, the new deal is still subject to a union ballot and strike action will continue in the meantime.
