Sign up today for the best stories straight to your inboxA man has had a knife lodged in his body for more than a year after being stabbed - and he had no idea it was there.Kent Ryan Tomao, 36, was stabbed by a group of teenagers in Kidapawan City, Philippines, last January.Coconuts Manila report that he was taken to hospital for treatment, but doctors simply stitched up the wound and gave him painkillers rather than X-raying him.It means he has had a four-inch (10cm) blade lodged inside his body next to his rib cage ever since - just inches away from piercing his lung.Mr Tomao said he occasionally felt pain in his chest when the weather was cold, but it was not severe enough to seek medical.
