Raheem Sterling hasn't hit the targets he set himself for this season - but that doesn't necessarily make it a disappointment.

The Manchester City forward was on course for his most prolific year in front of goal to date to continue what has been a remarkable improvement.

Sterling scored 23 goals in all competitions for the Blues in the 2017/18 campaign - including significant strikes against Everton, Bournemouth and Southampton - to convince Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta he had the quality and temperament to shine in front of goal.
