The 2013/14 season will be remembered fondly by many Manchester City fans after the campaign saw them land their fourth English league title.
That success came at the conclusion of a pulsating title race that was littered with ludicrous football matches and an array of standout individual performers.
The two most remarkable players of the campaign were Liverpool’s Luis Suarez and Manchester City’s Yaya Toure. Suarez netted 31 goals in 33 league games and was unsurprisingly awarded the PFA’s Player of the Year award.
However, Toure was a strong contender. The Ivorian is remembered as one of the Premier League’s all-time greats, possessing a mix of power, pace, defensive quality but also attacking threat.
