A brazen drug dealer claimed he was a key worker when cops caught him trying to deliver £57,000 worth of cocaine. Benjamin Evans, 26, was pulled over by traffic cops as he tried to take the stash to a pal in Wales.
He claimed he was a key worker on his way home from a night shift – but a quick search of his car found a tightly-wrapped package of cocaine.
A cop later told WalesOnline that drug dealing "does not qualify as essential work”. Cardiff Magistrates' Court heard the stop and search happened on the A40 Brecon bypass on the morning of Monday, April 6.
Officers stopped Evans' Ford Focus and asked him what he was doing. Intelligence reports led police to doubt his story and a subsequent search of the car found a large stash of cocaine
