Love Island's Niall thought he was on I'm A Celebrity after psych ward admission

Love Island alumni Niall Aslam has explained what was going through his head after he was admitted to a psych ward back in 2018.The Coventry-born star spent seven days in the famous villa before leaving due to "personal reasons" – later admitting that he was admitted to a psychiatric hospital for two weeks.

Niall who has Asperger Syndrome at the time said he was suffering from hallucinations and lost a grasp on reality.Taking to TikTok, the star has now shared an insight into what he actually went through with his followers and claimed he thought he went onto another ITV show.He said: "When I actually got to the psych ward from Love Island, I actually had no idea I was in a psych ward."My brain was in full-blown psychosis, so I didn't have a clue what was going on."One of the more rational thoughts I actually had at the time was 'I'm on a different show, they've put me on a different show, I don't know why'."He added: "That being I'm A Celebrity...

Get Me Out Of Here!'"Turns out I wasn't, turns out I'd be totally mugged off but you know it was a bit of a sight to behold."Niall previously revealed that he was suffering from Harry Potter delusions after his stint on the ITV2 dating programme, telling his followers: "I think it didn't help that when I was in psychosis, I looked at my arm and there was a literal wand on it."To top it off, when I was on Love Island, there was a lot of Harry Potter talk with me, so when I came out of the psychiatric hospital, I was getting people coming up to me saying stuff like 'You're a wizard, Niall!
