Love Island’s Mike Boateng admits to lying in order to get day off police force

Love Island star Mike Boateng has admitted to lying in order to get a day off work while serving in the police force, as he appeared at a misconduct hearing today.

The star – who appeared in the 2020 winter season of the ITV2 show after quitting the force – said he acted out of character after facing racism.

Today the former Greater Manchester Police constable was not barred from serving as an officer at a misconduct hearing, after he claimed there were mitigating circumstances.
