Katie Price ‘forced to return from holiday in Thailand to carry out community service’
Katie Price has been forced to come back from her holiday in Thailand in order to carry out community service work, it has been reported.Just a few days ago, the model was pictured soaking up the sun during a fun-filled getaway with her fiancé Carl Woods, with the pair seen sharing a passionate kiss on the beach. The couple have since returned to England, with it being claimed by The Sun that Price had to fly home so that she could complete the unpaid work she was ordered to do by the court.A source reportedly told the publication: ‘Katie was away – she says she was working in Thailand filming for YouTube – but has now been told she must return to the community service she’s been sentenced to.‘She’s got to make up for lost time after the trip away.’In December 2021, it emerged that the 43-year-old had been spared jail and handed a 16-week sentence suspended for 12 months after she was arrested and charged in September for drink-driving after being involved in a single-vehicle collision.Instead of jail time, she was handed 100 hours of unpaid work to do, as well as 20 sessions of rehabilitation work with probation. She was also placed on a two-year driving ban following the incident.Price was also told to pay £213 in costs, in addition to the £7,358 she was said to have already owed the court. In January this year, it was confirmed that Price’s sentence wouldn’t be appealed, with a spokesperson for Sussex Police saying that the update was ‘disappointing’.Speaking to Metro.co.uk at the time, they said: ‘Following a detailed review by Sussex Police, it was concluded that there are no legal grounds for Sussex Police to appeal the sentence imposed.‘This is disappointing.
