bulldog, stolen at gunpoint more than a week ago, has been returned to its owners in a miraculous discovery.Tito was robbed from his home, during a walk, in San Leandro, California, along with the owner's purse.The thieves also took a car too - the victim's name has not been divulged.The suspects were spotted leaving the scene driving the 2019 Kia Niro SUV at around 9.45pm last Tuesday and were seen going into the victim's home, before taking the car off the driveway, local news reports.The family set up a GoFund Me to help cover the costs of a new car, and a £4,000 reward was put onto the dog.Although the bag and car were not found, the dog was located by detectives yesterday.Local Sheriff Ahern said: “As a dog owner, this case disturbed me, my agency, and the community.“I directed our investigators to pursue all leads.“I’m glad to see Tito is now reunited with his family.“Thank you to our detectives and community members for supporting this effort.”A touching video of the little brown and white bulldog being reunited with family members was posted on the Alameda County Sheriff's Twitter page.And it went down well on social media.@NoExtinction12 tweeted: “Great work!“But also people should look into adopting rescue dogs rather than buying expensive breeds that are a target.”And @Ashroorina wrote: “Thank you ACSO!“If only this little guy could talk, bet he’s been on a crazy adventure. “Hopefully the person responsible for this is being charged!” Pure breed French bulldogs can cost anything from £2,500 to £5,000, and are a target for thieves.
