Naman Ramachandran The first look images from Lenny Henry’s “Three Little Birds,” executive produced by “It’s a Sin” creator Russell T Davies, have been unveiled. The series stars Rochelle Neil (“The Nevers”), Yazmin Belo (“What Just Happened”) and Saffron Coomber (“Tracey Beaker Returns”). Designed as a celebration of immigration, community and the strength of Black womanhood, the series is inspired by the stories of Henry’s mother. Set in 1957, it follows sisters Leah (Neil) and Chantrelle (Coomber) and their virtuous, bible-loving acquaintance, Hosanna (Belo), as they board a cruise ship from Jamaica bound for a new life in Britain. Once they reach they discover that life is not smooth sailing but are determined to succeed and overcome the many obstacles of integration and build a new life in Britain.

Motörhead‘s rare 1998 cover of Metallica‘s ‘Enter Sandman’ has finally been released on all major streaming platforms.First recorded in 1998 as part of a compilation album for wrestling company ECW Wrestling, the track was only available via CD – and illegal rips posted online – until now. In celebration of Motörhead Day (May 8), the Grammy-nominated cover track has now been made available on all platforms.The newly released track also comes with an animated music video, in which a child is plagued by nightmares of an evil sandman, and is saved by Motörhead’s Warpig mascot.Beside the rare track’s digital release, a limited-edition 7″ vinyl edition of Motörhead’s ‘Enter Sandman’ cover – featuring an B-side etching of the Motörhead Warpig – is available via the band’s website.In January this year, drummer Mikkey Dee said that the band will “never, ever, ever tour” under the Motörhead name again.

Yossman Netflix has unveiled its slate for Annecy International Animation Film Festival with highlights including “Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget” and “Nimona.” The streamer is returning to the French animation festival next month with a range of events including panels, screenings and Q&As. Zack Sharf Digital News Director Thomas Haden Church was one of the many Spider-Man alum who returned for Marvel’s 2021 blockbuster “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” Church reprised his role of Flint Marko/Sandman from Sam Raimi’s 2007 “Spider-Man 3,” but his screen-time in “No Way Home” was fairly limited when compared to fellow returning villains like Electro (Jamie Foxx), Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) and Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina). In a new interview with The DisInsider, Church said conversations are taking place about future big screen appearances for Sandman. “We had a whole story involving his his daughter, for ‘No Way Home,'” Church said about the character. “And it just ended up [cut]. There was just so much going on…Amy [Pascal] and Kevin [Feige], we all had a lot of conversations. And I would say that conversations have been had about the possibility of Sandman coming into an a future iteration of it.”
