As law enforcement in Memphis continue to investigate the death of Big Scarr, a family member has come forward to announce the rapper died from a drug overdose of prescription pills.The uncle of the Memphis, Tennessee native, Arthur Woods, told TMZ that his nephew overdosed and died while at his girlfriend's house on Thursday.Big Scarr (born Alexander Woods), who was signed to Gucci Mane's 1017 Records, is best known to most fans for the song SoIcyBoyz, which features Pooh Shiesty, Foogiano and Tay Keith, and his solo track Make A Play. Two artists who started their careers outside of country music were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame as early rock pioneer Jerry Lee Lewis and bluegrass performer-turned-country star Keith Whitley joined the ranks.Lewis, the 87-year-old artist nicknamed “The Killer,” was unable to attend the induction ceremony on Sunday in Nashville, Tennessee, due to guidance from his doctor. Groups fan site.The document, which is available to view here, shows that Franklin was monitored ahead of and around her appearances at civil rights movement events, including the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.The events took place in the late 1960s in Atlanta, Georgia and Memphis, Tennessee respectively, and were referred to by the FBI in the document as “communist infiltration” events.Elsewhere, Franklin was referenced in a note titled: “Assassination of Martin Luther King. Racial matters,” and notes were made of her involvement in a planned memorial concert for the famous activist.

The family of murdered kindergarten teacher Eliza Fletcher is mourning her tragic and senseless death.

A country music star has been found dead after being reported missing more than a week earlier. The body of Luke Bell, 32, was discovered in Tucson, Arizona, according to the New York Post, which cited the city's police department. His friend Matt Kinman, also a country artist, confirmed his death to the Saving Country Music website, saying he was found on Monday near to where he was reported missing on 20 August.

Taylor Swift is facing a $1 million copyright infringement lawsuit after a Memphis, Tennessee, poet on Tuesday filed documents claiming the singer-songwriter copied elements of her book to create the 2019 album "Lover."  Teresa La Dart's lawsuit claimed Swift used "creative elements that copied the expressive design arrangements" for her seventh studio album from a book La Dart published with the same "Lover" title on Jan. 12, 2010.  In court documents, La Dart's book was also registered with the U.S. Copyright Office in February.
