Liverpool managed to sign Takumi Minamino way too cheaply back in December claims Red Bull Salzburg manager Jesse Marsch. The Japanese star moved to Anfield for £7.25m after the Reds beat Manchester United to his signature.
Liverpool were very aware of Minamino's quality having seen him score on Merseyside when they played Salzburg in the Champions League.
