Liverpool are facing the prospect of suffering in the Champions League from a rule which no longer makes sense in the competition’s current format.The Reds travel to Budapest this evening to face RB Leipzig in the first leg of their Round of 16 clash.Travel restrictions between the UK and Germany prevented the tie from taking place at the Red Bull Arena, and is likely to do so for the return leg which is yet to be moved from Anfield.Current restrictions have also led to rearrangements for the majority of the other British clubs still in Europe.Atletico Madrid will take on Chelsea in Bucharest, before Manchester City follow in Liverpool’s footsteps by challenging Borussia Moenchengladbach at the Puskas Arena.Arsenal and Tottenham face.
