Liverpool and Chelsea have missed out on signing Dayot Upamecano this summer after Bayern Munich confirmed he would be joining them in July.
The Red Bull Leipzig defender was a target for a host of clubs, also including Man Utd, with his £38million release clause due to become active at the end of the season.
But Bundesliga giants Bayern have won the race to snap up the 22-year-old after announcing they had finalised a deal which will be completed when the transfer window reopens.
