Tegan and Sara have returned with a new single called ‘Fucking Up What Matters’ – you can listen to it below.The track marks the first material from the Canadian duo since they signed to the New York indie label Mom+Pop Music, which is also home to the likes of Courtney Barnett, Sleater-Kinney and Lucius.Produced by John Congleton (Sharon Van Etten, Angel Olsen, Future Islands), ‘Fucking Up What Matters’ serves as a taste of Tegan and Sara’s 10th studio album, the follow-up to 2019’s ‘Hey, I’m Just Like You’.“‘Fucking Up What Matters’ felt like an ode to the moment in your life when you realise that you have most, if not all of the things you wanted and you start to think about what would happen if you just walked away from it all,” explained Tegan Quin.“It’s the moment in the middle of the night when you start to daydream about something else, something you never imagined.”She continued: “It’s the feeling you have when you think you might have hit a new low, and yet you’ve never felt so good. Sometimes it’s admitting that you can’t stop yourself from fucking up what matters, that you feel your strongest.“And as my mom would say, it’s often when we’re fucking up what matters, that we’re learning the most about ourselves.”Tegan and Sara signed to Sire/Warner ahead of releasing their fifth record, 2007’s ‘The Con’.

Justin Bieber has shared a new song featuring Don Toliver called ‘Honest’ – check it out below.The hip-hop track the Canadian pop star’s first official single since ‘Ghost’.The video, which is directed by Cole Bennett, shows Bieber and Toliver snowbound as they lose their way – check out the video here:On Wednesday (April 27), Bieber released the song and spoof video for ‘I Feel Funny’, filmed in between takes for an epic video for ‘Honest’.  Bennett directed both videos.Talking about making the spoof video, Bennett said: “Justin randomly texted me this song one day and said “should we do a visual to this? song straight to number 1.” We joked around about doing a video for it but never did.“A few weeks later we were doing a pick up day for a video we had recently shot, but never finished (‘Honest’).

I have spent so long sitting in my house, staring at a screen, wearing elasticated waists, hoodies and slippers that I no longer know how to get dressed. Arcade Fire have released ‘Unconditional I (Lookout Kid)’, the latest single to be taken from their forthcoming album ‘WE’.The track was initially teased by the band on April 12, when frontman Win Butler posted a video on Instagram of a vinyl version of the album playing. “Next single is,” he is heard saying before a slow strumming song kicks off with the lyrics “Lookout kid trust your heart / you don’t have to play the part.”‘Unconditional I (Lookout Kid)’ has now been shared by the band on their social media, with a caption on Instagram reading: “There’s nothing saccharine about unconditional love in a world that is coming apart at the seams.

Working Men’s Club have shared a new single from their forthcoming second album ‘Fear Fear’ – you can listen to the track below.The brooding song, ‘Circumference’ is “built on the kind of crystalline, heaven sent synth lines that Depeche Mode or The Human League used to trade in” according to a press release.“I’m feeling alright now the time is passing by / The further we fall makes me feel fine,” sings frontman Syd Minsky-Sargeant on the track.It follows the band’s previous single ‘Widow’, which was released last month.The band’s forthcoming album, the follow up to their 2020 self-titled debut is due for release on July 15 via Heavenly (pre-order here).Minsky-Sargeant previously said of the new record: “The first album was mostly a personal documentation lyrically, this is a blur between personal and a third-person perspective of what was going on.“I like the contrast of it being happy, uplifting music and really dark lyrics,” he added. “It’s not a minimal record, certainly compared to the first one.

Charli XCX song called ‘Hot Girl’ has been previewed in the trailer for upcoming horror film Bodies Bodies Bodies.Directed by Halina Reijn, the A24 film follows Sophie (Amandla Stenberg) as she hosts a house party to introduce her girlfriend Bee (Maria Bakalova) to her group of friends. As they play a murder-in-the-dark game which ends in a real-life murder, the group have to investigate who is responsible.Arriving earlier today (April 26), the movie’s trailer features a new song by Charli XCX, who released her latest album, ‘Crash’, back in March.

Mogwai have shared a soaring new single called ‘Boltfor’ – listen to it below.Released today (Apri 26), ‘Boltfor’ was “initially recorded during the sessions for ‘As The Love Continues’ at Vada Studios” according to a statement, “and then completed at the band’s very own Castle of Doom studios in March 2022.”Speaking about the song’s accompanying video, director Sam Wiehl said: “The video is a visual metaphor for the constant movement in life and the unceasing urge to move forward as individuals…in the form of a metaphysical road movie.”Watch the video below:The band will soon begin their European and UK tour in Copenhagen on April 30, heading to London’s Alexandra Palace on May 27.
