Lisa Faulkner has recalled her experience with taking fertility drugs while trying to get pregnant during her first marriage.
The actress, 48, who is now married to second husband and Masterchef judge John Torode, 54, details the struggles she faced trying to fall pregnant in her memoir Meant To Be: My Journey to Motherhood, that recently released its paperback version.
Lisa, who is mum to adopted daughter Billie, 14, had endured three unsuccessful rounds of IVF and suffered an ectopic pregnancy – where a fertilised egg implants itself outside of the womb in the fallopian tube.
She reveals that she used to take a fertility drug Clomid to boost her chances of conceiving, but admits the journey it took her on had been ‘horrific’.
