Sir Lewis Hamilton could ‘walk away’ from the Formula 1 team with contract talks still at a deadlock. Hamilton, who won his record-equaling seventh world championship in 2020 has been in talks over a bumper new £120million contract after his previous deal finished at the end of the season.However, with the 36-year-old still yet to put pen to paper, there’s a chance no new deal will be agreed according to Former F1 car designer and pundit Gary Anderson.“It’s in the interests of the three parties that own the team – Mercedes, Ineos and Toto Wolff – to find a solution and get Hamilton’s name on a contract,” said the former Jordan technical director.“It will be interesting to see if it doesn’t happen.
