Lazio president Claudio Lotito has confirmed that his club have tabled a new £21m bid for Manchester United attacker Mason Greenwood.
The offer includes a 50 per cent sell-on clause for United. However, United have agreed a £26.7m deal with Marseille, albeit personal terms yet to be agreed with the club facing pushback from some fans and civic leaders over the potential move.
Greenwood had been arrested over sexual assault charges in January 2022 before these were dropped in February 2023. He has always denied the allegations.
After receiving backlash for attempting to reintegrate him into the squad, United stated in August that Greenwood, 22, would continue his career elsewhere.
